Project 22

Project 22 marks the third chapter in the corpus initiated by The 333 Project.
Through this new artistic and human experience, Quentin Chamard-Bois continues his exploration of the circulation of images, the value of the artwork, and the act of letting go in the face of possession.

The project begins with a simple gesture:
to set in motion 22 envelopes, each containing 22 original works from the same series.

The launch will take place on November 15, 2025, during Paris Photo.
The artist will hand these envelopes to 22 participants — artists, curators, chefs, musicians, architects, collectors, journalists, or anonymous guests — each invited to create a diptych from two images they will keep, before passing the envelope on to a person of their choice.

From hand to hand, the envelopes grow lighter and change.
Gradually, a collective artwork takes shape — fragmented, shifting, yet united by the sequence of gestures, choices, and emotions that compose it.

Each print bears a QR code inviting participants to join a shared digital space — a forum for reflection and dialogue around the artist’s questions, where each person can find another who has chosen the same images.

Project 22 explores transmission, loss, and encounter — a way to remind us that art only lives when it circulates.
